In the first episode, Atikah Hurley talks to two of ECU’s successful film alumni, Ying Chu and Tim Barretto. Ying Chu’s short film Ah-Ma: A Tale of Two Generations was shortlisted in the 2024 Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase. Tim Barretto’s latest project is a movie called End to End. It was co-written with writer/producer Melanie Filler, and recently announced as the 2024 recipient of Screenwest’s West Coast Visions initiative.
